Cilium’s Truth is a book that connotates to female body hair and the unacceptance of it.
 
The design of the island is derived from the primary data, while the story of the island is inspired from cultural association of body hair. The wild environment of the island connotates to the disgust of body hair and all its inhabitants are furry creatures. The only hairless character is fimay, who represents the conformity of social norms. Cilium is the representation of a female body, where the only places that is blooming with life is the places that doesn’t get shaved. And according to the data, the only places what women doesn’t shave are the head and arms. So, except these, the island is barren. The irony is that is isle of hair doesn’t actually have any. At the end when fimay decides to revive the island, this alludes to defying the social norms.

The moral of the story is that not everything that is normalize as beauty is really beautiful or good. Sometimes you have to look at things from a different perspective to see true beauty and be yourself.
